Not every trip to Gatwick is one or two people with a suitcase each. From Bordon and the surrounding villages, we regularly take big families, groups of friends heading to a wedding abroad, sports teams, school groups and work colleagues on the same flight. For them, the question is not "taxi or train" but how to get everyone and everything to the airport together. This page is about group and family transfers from GU35 to Gatwick, in vehicles from six to eight seats, each at a single fixed price. Groups larger than eight travel in two vehicles booked together.
For one to four passengers, our guide to Bordon to Gatwick covers the standard saloon fare, which starts at £109.
Why one vehicle beats several cars
When a group splits across two or three cars, things go wrong: one car is late, one gets stuck on the A3, someone's passport is in the wrong boot. With a single vehicle, everyone leaves together, arrives together and checks in together. It is also usually cheaper. One fixed price for an eight-seat MPV divided between the group often comes to less per person than two or three saloons.
Which vehicle for your group?
- MPV: up to six passengers with four large cases. A family of five or six with holiday luggage.
- MPV 8 seater: up to eight passengers with eight large cases. Larger families or two families travelling together.
- Executive MPV (Mercedes V-Class): up to seven passengers, with face-to-face leather seats. Work teams and special occasions.
- Two vehicles together: for nine to sixteen people, book two MPVs for the same time. They leave together and arrive at the terminal within minutes of each other.
The booking form shows each vehicle's fixed price for your exact address. If you are not sure what fits, tell us the number of people and bags, and we will suggest one.
Collecting from more than one address
Groups often start from different homes around Bordon, Lindford, Headley or Liphook. You can add up to five stops on the way, and each one is priced into the fixed fare before you confirm. The driver collects everyone in order, and the group arrives at Gatwick together.
The route and timing
From Bordon, the driver usually heads east to the A3 at Hindhead, through the tunnel to Guildford, then onto the M25 at junction 10 and round to the M23. It is around 45 miles. For a group with several pickups, allow extra time: as a guide, the first pickup should be about three and a half hours before a short-haul flight, and four hours before long-haul.
Luggage, sports kit and equipment
Groups often travel with more than suitcases: golf bags, bikes, ski bags, cricket kit, instruments. Tell us what you are bringing when you book, and we will send a vehicle with enough space. An eight-seat MPV carries a lot of luggage, but very bulky items, such as bike boxes, can take up a seat, so let us know the numbers.
Gatwick drop-off and pickup
At Gatwick, the driver drops the whole group at the terminal. For the return, the driver tracks your flight and meets the group in arrivals with a name board. If the group is on different flights, book separate vehicles for each arrival.
For anyone driving themselves, the forecourt drop-off zones at Gatwick have cost £10 for the first ten minutes since January 2026. With us, the fixed fare covers the drop-off.
Weddings, tours and sports trips
Group bookings from Bordon tend to cluster around a few occasions: destination weddings, where a whole side of the family flies out together; football and rugby tours; school and youth group trips; and military reunions, given the town's long garrison history. For any of these, book as early as you can, especially in summer, when larger vehicles are in high demand. If the group is booked on a charter or a block of seats on one flight, give us the flight number and we will plan around the check-in time for the whole group.
What to tell us when you book
The number of passengers, the number of large cases and bulky items, every pickup address in order, the flight number and terminal, and a lead contact's mobile number. If any passengers need a child seat or help getting in and out of the vehicle, add a note. The fixed price covers the vehicle, the stops and the drop-off at Gatwick.
